Dr. Avraham Shanin is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon whose practice combines comprehensive surgical training with a thoughtful, patient-centered approach. He performs a wide range of oral surgical procedures, including wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, and other complex treatments.
Dr. Shanin earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry before completing a General Practice Residency at New York Hospital Queens, now NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. He continued his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, an affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College, where he served as chief resident.
Throughout his practice, Dr. Shanin places particular emphasis on helping patients understand their treatment and feel comfortable throughout the surgical process. Whether performing a routine extraction or a more involved procedure, he values clear communication, careful planning, and an individualized approach to care.
Dr. Shanin lives on Long Island with his wife and five children.
