An experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Hershman provides comprehensive surgical care with an emphasis on precision, thoughtful treatment planning, and exceptional patient care.
Building on the foundation established by his father, Dr. Gabriel Hershman combines advanced surgical expertise with a vision for expanding the standard of care that has defined the Hershman practice for decades. By bringing together highly trained surgeons and developing a collaborative approach to treatment, he is helping make that same level of surgical excellence and patient care available to more patients.
Dr. Hershman earned his Bachelor of Science from Lander College before attending New York University College of Dentistry on a full academic scholarship, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital Center, where he served as chief resident and gained extensive experience in complex surgical care and anesthesia.
A particular focus of Dr. Hershman’s practice is the integration of advanced digital technology into dental implant surgery. He has introduced a fully digital workflow that incorporates three-dimensional imaging, computer-guided planning, and in-house surgical guide production. This approach allows for carefully planned, precise implant placement and reflects his commitment to advancing the practice through technology, collaboration, and surgical innovation.
